Who we are

The Women’s Coaching Conference serves all female rowing coaches, providing attendees with actionable education and community building to maximize their current positions and advance to the next step in their careers. The mission of the WCC is to educate, connect, and inspire emerging and established coaches across rowing. We advocate for women in the field to ultimately create a better- equipped, more inclusive, and more sustainable coaching profession. 

The 2024 edition of the conference will take place in Boston on Thursday December 12th - Saturday December 14th and features top-tier, professional presenters including athletic directors, leadership coaches, and leaders within the rowing community. 

Childcare will be available on site to make attendance more feasible for mothers.

    Mastering the Process to Land Your Next Job

    This session will provide key thoughts and tenets to prepare for your next job. A review and assessment of résumé and cover letter strategies will be identified, including the importance of branding, the inclusion of sponsors and the interview process. We'll discuss key steps for these areas in order to maximize your chances of securing your next job.

    Positioning Your Program for Success: How to Effectively Advocate for Yourself and Your Team

    This session will focus on how to work effectively with your sport administrator, AD, executive director, and/or board of directors. We will focus on communication strategies, best practices, the role for fundraising and friend-raising, and ways to best position your program for success with your administrator. Come prepared with questions and scenarios to review as a group!
