
2024-2025 Scholarships
Shimano Rowing Dynamics is proud to sponsor the Women’s Coaching Conference once again and support the continual development of female coaches in the sport of rowing.
Shimano Rowing Dynamics, North America will award three full tuition scholarships for female collegiate coaches in North America to attend the Women’s Coaching Conference in either Boston or Seattle, whichever the recipient prefers. Candidates must be currently employed by a collegiate rowing program in the USA or Canada.
Application letter can be emailed to SRD@shimano.com with a subject line of “SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION.” Please provide a summary of why you would like to attend the conference and include your name, contact info, rowing program/school, years of coaching experience, and preferred conference locations. Additional industry references are also recommended. Please include your references’ name and contact information.
Deadline for applications is October 30, 2024 and the scholarships will be awarded and announced by November 10, 2024.
Westwood Foundation
The Westwood Foundation is dedicated to fostering the development and advancement of women and other underrepresented populations within coaching. With a focus on mentorship and wellness, we aim to increase access to professional development and networking opportunities for coaches from emerging and underfunded sports programs. The Westwood Foundation is proud to sponsor four scholarships to the Women’s Coaching Conference, two to the Boston event and two to the Seattle event, for coaches who exemplify hard work, teamwork, and the spirit of community.

HUDSON is proud to support female rowing coaches and coaches of color through their relationship with the A Most Beautiful Thing Inclusion Fund (AMBTIF) and Arshay Cooper. HUDSON will award one full-tuition SHARK Scholarship to a coach who is committed to making their boathouse reflect the diversity of their community. Preference will be given to coaches from the AMBTIF Core Programs. These are middle- and high-school rowing programs offering competitive racing, youth development and academic enrichment in their programs.

USRowing will offer scholarships to the Boston and Seattle WCC conferences. The goal is to empower coaches to enhance their skill sets, facilitate their development, and provide opportunities for networking and community-building.
Details and Eligibility: Any active USRowing member who is currently coaching in the US and who represents an underrepresented population -- ethnically, racially, or people with disabilities -- is eligible.
Applications can be submitted here and are due by November 1, 2024 for the Boston WCC and by December 13, 2024 for the Seattle WCC.
The Head of the Hooch® regatta is committed to supporting efforts to increase the opportunities for the development of women coaches at all levels of rowing.
The Head of the Hooch® regatta, together with their Title Sponsor the Tennessee Valley Authority, will award four tuition scholarships for coaches to attend the 2024 Women’s Coaching Conference in Boston. Preference will be given to coaches from the Southeast or from under-resourced programs.
